Shatkora with beef is an authentic Bangladeshi recipe.

A cultivar of C. macroptera var. annamensis known as 'Sat Kara', is grown primarily in the Sylhet Division of northeastern Bangladesh where it is called "hatkora" or "shatkora" (Sylheti Bangla: সাতকরা). Shatkora is a unique citrus fruit of Sylhet. Shatkora gives a rich, tangy flavor that is complemented with spices.

The rind of the Citrus Macroptera is eaten as a vegetable, while the pulp is usually discarded because of its bitter-sour taste. It has a unique taste and aroma. The thick rind is cut into small pieces and cooked; either green or ripe, in beef, mutton, and fish curries, as well as in stews. The fruit is also a primary ingredient in satkora/shatkora pickles. Curries cooked with shatkora and beef or mutton is the most unique and famous dish of Sylhet. It is not only famous in Sylhet, it is famous also in whole country and its taste also spread to abroad. Sylheti who live abroad for job or business especially in UK, USA, and Middle East take fresh Shatkora or dried peel from Bangladesh .Shatkora improves the taste and flavor of curry. The scent of shaltkora is great. It contains a lot of vitamin C, calcium and phosphorus. This is very beneficial for human health. It increases resistant ability against diseases. It is also helpful in prevention of cancer. The rind of shatkora contains a lot of antioxidant which help to destroy harmful elements of body. Shatkora is not only cooked with meat it also cooked with fish.
Shatkora with Beef: Shatkora with beef is an authentic Bangladeshi recipe. The following ingredients will be required to cook this dish-
1-10kg beef cut into medium pieces
½ cup soybean oil
1 tsp chilli powder
Onion, finely sliced
2 tbsp Garlic paste
1/2 tbsp Ginger paste
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Roasted cumin powder
1 tsp Black pepper powder
1 tsp Garam masala powder
1 cm Satkora (Medium size), pieces
 Salt as you wish to taste
Procedure:
1.      First of all mix all ingredients except Shatkora and garam masala powder.
2.      Mixed ingredients keep in a pan, cover with lid and cook until the meats become boiled.
3.      After 45-60 minutes, add pieces of Shatkora and cook for 10-15 minutes.
4.      Then add garam masala powder and again cook for 10-15 minutes.
5.      Now it is ready to serve.
You can serve it with rice or a nun.
